i choose depend on the situation. i do it myself, mind u cos of m own personal life problems.. it jus stings alot ._. but the blood is comforting...

All I can say is: If you sacrifice yourself so that another may live, death wouldn't be in vain. But to do so just so because your life has no meaning, that truly is a selfish act. Sometimes going thru hell is the only way to make one stronger. If one can overcome that, then you can overcome anything that life throw's at you.

I think cutting yourself is just another way of trying to escape your problems because you want a distraction. I don't condemn people for doing it, and sorry in advance if this offends you, but I think it's cowardly to do that. If everyone tried to escape from their problems, there would be no development in society and it'll just be filled by people who don't want to face the life in front of them.
