I just got back from going to a microwave con... and I got pictures!

Too bad I was in the wrong costume when I met up with this Ginji-kun...

And since I didn't see him when I was in the right one, I brought my own Ginji. Natsumi's holding him.

Even transporters get exhausted. I might use this for my new icon actually...

wow.. cool costume. where was this? philipines or indonesia? i've been to a cosplay fair in korea this winter, but it was COLD! it was outdoors. i went there as sanzo from saiyuki, but no photos. man my feet were freezing!

*Laughs* North America actually. And it just hit 91 F (34 C) degrees here today..... so hardly the freezing on my part. I think one of the most asked questions I got as Akabane was "You must be hot in that, huh?"

Might be too lazy to make the icon... I'm iffy about having my real photos online anywhere, especially as icons.

o it was in the states! since i saw only asians in the photo, i figured it was somewhere in souteast asia (since neither u nor "Natsumi" looked like us as in Korean, Japanese, or Chinese looking). yeah u may have been "hot" in those. congrats for surviving the heat (literally and figureatively.)

it doesn't take long to post ur pict as an icon. it's a graet photo and it's akabane (u acutally) so it fits perfectly with this forum.

Yeah, there's a surprising amount of Asians at that con, though don't be mistaken to think all cosplayers are Asians. There were a LOT of other ethnicity, mainly normal Americans.

You don't think people in those photos look East Asian? I'm quite sure Natsumi was actually Chinese. *Grins*

If we end up a cilantro dark.... I blame it on the sun while running back and forth between the two con buildings. It was blaring hot.

o ok.. but natsumi looked a bit hm... indochinese to me since she's not so pale. and sorry, but to be honest, i didnt know that she was dressed up as natsumi before u mentioned it. i guess natsumi's "outfit" is not so "striking" like akabane's or narutos or other microwave characters.

Really? I thought she looked pretty pale... Must be the picture effects.

As to her outfit, I think she liked it that way. Not a very photo loving person, and it took a while to convince her to cosplay and only under the condition that she won't be recognized without a group to begin with.

I also think that huge Ginji cushion covering her might contribute to her unrecognizability (I doubt that's a word).

hey, btw is faust one of the monitors here? y am i blocked from replying in the other topic? *sigh* yeah that word from faust about stopping suicide made me lose my temper. he died last year. he took pills and was found dead in his house with his will. i never knew of his depression... i was careless.. and it killed him. i live feeling guilty about this and was slowly forgetting about it but he brought the painful memory back again. i'm sorry if i sounded rude.

No, he isn't. Maybe it's just one of the forum glitches? You know how the forum is. I recall that Faust wanted to be but never was made a moderator... so that's not right.

Blueboy, I'm seriously sorry about your friend. You have my condolences, and I want to say that it was not your fault even though I know you'd feel as if it is because he was your friend. Faust's comment was way out of line to begin with, and you were not rude at all given the circumstances.

Er.... plushie? That's a cushion Natsumi's holding... And I'd rather have that than the real UFO plushie for the GB series. That tare Ginji looks weird, and sadly, the tare Akabane looks even worse. I'm quite sure making your own would look much better than that one. *Grimaces*

How can I not cosplay as Akabane-san?! That's one of the first ones I had to cosplay as! It's easier too.

it's the island in indonesia that's part malaysia. hm... i wonder what i'll cosplay as next year. should i still go as sanzo or get myself a new naruto themed costume?
