In case there are Harry Potter fans here who haven't heard the good news yet, there's already an official release date for the sixth book (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince).

It's due on July 16, 2005.

Squee! Can't wait for it! It makes me smile like an idiot just thinking about it.

It's less than 38 chapters long, though, so it's a bit shorter than Book 5.
